We have been appointed on the restoration and development of a beautiful set of Victorian buildings in a sought-after area of Clevedon in North Somerset, which hold fantastic sea front positions.
For our client East Park Investments, we are providing full Approved Inspector services including plans assessments and site inspection services of the buildings, which were formerly used as a Nursing and Residential Home.
This cleverly thought about scheme, designed by O’Leary Goss Architects, will include an extension to the rear that will allow the apartments to be arranged in a such a manner that almost all of the nineteen new apartments will have a sea view, including some of those at the back of the building. Both of the existing buildings will be carefully remodelled to retain the building’s spaciousness and original features whilst works will also be carried out to transform the roof space of the large front building into a luxury top floor apartment with views in three directions.
Redevelopment works will also extend to the surrounding grounds which will incorporate twenty-three car parking spaces, outdoor seating areas and terraces as well as versatile planting. The gardens will become a major feature of this development, they have been carefully planned to fit into the coastal surrounding and to allow people to relax and take in the nature, be it from the window of their apartment or within the garden itself. The site also benefits from sitting minutes away from a beautiful coastal path and one of the town’s beauty spots ‘Ladye Bay’, a quiet secluded beach with fabulous views.
We have worked with the Architect to provide pre-construction advice on this project before it began on site in August of this year.
