We’re celebrating our tenth year in business!
We’ve reflected on this milestone by recounting our achievements year on year to see how much we have progressed in 10 years.
2013 – James Cook and Matt Brown launch Cook Brown Building Control from their dining room tables, and start to build the business in and around the Bristol region.
2014 – The team grows and Cook Brown move into their first office near Portishead.
2015 – The number of projects across England are increasing and new offices open in Tewkesbury and Birmingham to service this work and grow the business.
2016 – The Bristol team have now outgrown their office and move into a larger space in Portishead to accommodate the new surveyors and administration team.
2017 – Our South East team is growing, a new office opens in London to establish a permanent presence in the capital.
2018 – Cook Brown Energy is launched to assist our Building Control clients with energy consultancy services.
2019 – Our North East and South West teams are growing, new offices open in York and Somerset.
2020 – Cook Brown Building Control and Cook Brown Energy join Hickton Group to help facilitate further growth and expansion of services throughout England and Wales.
2021 – Our South Wales team are expanding rapidly and need an office base to operate from. Our Swansea office opens.
2022 – South West projects are growing and to aid growth in this area our Plymouth office opens to service Devon and Cornwall.
2023 – Our South Wales team are still expanding and a further office opens just outside Cardiff in Barry Island.
Today we have 65 employees operating from 9 office locations throughout England and Wales. We have worked on in excess of 30,000 projects from a variety of sectors and across many project types. It’s great to be reflecting on how far our business has come, thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years and can see our passion for delivering a quality service whilst ensuring safety and compliance on construction projects. We are excited for what the future holds!
