We were appointed by Carnegie Property Partners to provide Building Control services for the conversion, extension and alteration of an existing office building on Walter Road in central Swansea to create modern student accommodation.

The project involved a change of use from commercial office space to residential accommodation, delivering eight high quality student apartments within a well connected city centre location. The scheme included both internal and external works to reconfigure and enhance the existing building while creating functional and contemporary living spaces suited to student residents.

Working alongside the wider project team, we supported the development throughout the construction process, assisting with compliance across all stages of the works and helping facilitate the successful delivery of the project.

The completed development has brought an existing building back into active use, contributing to the continued regeneration of Swansea city centre and expanding the provision of student accommodation within the area.
