The Wave, Bristol

This project involved the development of The Wave, an innovative inland surfing destination on the outskirts of Bristol designed to provide consistent, safe waves throughout the year for surfers of all abilities. The facility has become a popular leisure and visitor attraction, offering a unique surfing experience within a controlled environment.

We were appointed to provide Building Control services for the construction of the main clubhouse and a number of ancillary buildings associated with the wider development. The scheme included spaces designed to support visitors and day to day operations, helping to create a modern and functional leisure facility for both recreational and training purposes.

Working closely with the project team, we supported the development through the various stages of construction, assisting with compliance across the works and helping to facilitate the successful delivery of the scheme.

The completed development has created a high quality destination that combines sport, leisure and hospitality, contributing to Bristol’s growing range of recreational attractions and providing year round access to surfing in a safe and controlled setting.
