The Corsham School, Wiltshire

Client: Alec French Architects

We were appointed by Alec French Architects to provide Building Control Services at The Corsham School on the construction of a new Sixth Form block as part of phase 1 works, followed by a dedicated SEND extension in phase 2 to support students with special educational needs and disabilities.

The new Sixth Form facility was designed to create a modern and flexible learning environment for post 16 students, incorporating new classrooms, study areas and communal spaces to support both independent and collaborative learning. The second phase SEND extension was developed to provide additional specialist teaching and support facilities, helping the school expand its provision for students requiring tailored educational support.

Working closely with the design team and project stakeholders throughout both phases, we carried out Building Control Services from plan assessment through to site inspections, supporting compliance with Building Regulations across all stages of the development. The completed works have provided the school with enhanced teaching facilities that support the evolving needs of both students and staff.
