We are pleased to be proactively working on-site providing Building Control services for our client – Bristol based Property Development company, Freemantle Developments Ltd, for a contemporary housing development in Cheltenham.

This Gloucestershire based project involves the conversion of an empty 1960’s Office Building into stylish apartments comprising of sixty-three 1, 2 and 3-bed apartments together with a communal gym and storage facilities. The development is a part conversion using the existing frame and part new build.

The development will take an unoccupied office building that currently detracts from the conservation area and turn it into an exciting contemporary scheme that makes a real architectural statement with high quality details and materials and is designed by award-winning architectural practice – Roberts Limbrick Limited.

As the appointed Approved Inspector, our role is to ensure that all works comply with the Building Regulations throughout all stages of the project. We are providing Building Regulation advice, checking the drawings and plans, providing site inspections of the construction works which are in progress and issuing all certifications.

“We have extensive experience in this sector, and we are pleased to be collaborating with our client to champion compliance for this project. Having the opportunity to offer Building Control expertise on a project in a conservation area in Cheltenham is something which we are delighted to be part of”.
