Appointed as the Approved Inspector by our client, Rengen Developments Ltd, we provided Building Control services for the three-storey Student Accommodation block, St Martin’s House in Bath.

Originally two semi-detached houses, the new block of nine luxury student flats has a total of thirty bedrooms, consisting of six studios and three cluster units, which are inclusive of bathroom, kitchen facilities and living space for students at both the University of Bath and Bath Spa University.

The site is located next to Radway House – an existing student accommodation block which replaced 482 Wellsway and 2 Oolite Road to accommodate the growing student housing demand in the local area.

“We were delighted to provide Building Regulation Advice and Guidance for this project in Bath, which presented some Part B compliance challenges, but we worked with the contractors, CTS Construction, to overcome these and presented the Final Certificate once we were satisfied that the scheme was fully compliant with The Building Regulations 2010.”
