Building Control Surveyor, BSc (Hons)
My work background:
I have been employed by Cook Brown Building Control for almost four years, working on a wide variety of projects ranging from domestic through to large Assembly and Commercial Buildings. Personal highlights have been delivering The Wave, Bristol amongst other projects.
About my role:
My daily role covers a broad spectrum of duties such as providing Plan Assessments, including formation and distribution of Plan Assessment Trackers; Technical Guidance for design teams; Site Inspections; Key Account Management; Pre-application Advice and all other Approved Inspector related services.
I have worked on New Build, Extensions, and Refurbishment projects across most sectors of the industry including Residential, Industrial, Retail and Commercial, giving Practical Advice to help clients comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations.
I am at my happiest when outdoors, whether running, surfing, cycling or generally exploring our coastlines.
Before I was a Building Control surveyor, I worked as an Airborne Surveyor and was published twice as a Marine Biologist. I used to like boats, a lot, and spent five years as part of the British Sailing Team.
