My work background:

I completed a BSc Hons Building Surveying Degree at Liverpool John Moores University almost 10 years ago and have been working in the Building Control industry as an Approved Inspector ever since.
For the last 5 years I have been working in a company specialising in commercial projects across all market sectors. My experience includes; renovation projects involving historical and listed buildings, projects involving a material change of use and working within sectors such as industrial, education, storage and distribution, residential/other residential and student accommodation.

About my role:

I work on projects nationally but have a focus on the North due to my base in York and experience of undertaking projects in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, and Sheffield to name a few.

As part of the Specialist Projects team, we will cover small, medium and large projects that have a technical element such as, being a medium or major project or minor works in a complex building, complex development or works to a historic or listed building. Our aim is to be involved at an early stage and provide a proactive service to guide our clients on the best ways to ensure building regulation compliance on a project.

About me:

I live in York city centre with my wife and little daughter who is 1 year old. My wife is a Staff nurse at York Hospital, any free time we have (Our daughter keeps us extremely busy) is spent with friends and family and in and around our home city of York.
