Mike Rawlings
Principal Building Control Surveyor, BSc MRICS
My work background:
I started working in Building Control in 1985 as a Trainee Building Control Officer. Throughout my career, I have worked for both Local Authorities, Approved Inspectors and even spent five years working in New Zealand as a Building Control Surveyor. I have a degree in Building Legislation and Technology, and I am a Chartered Member of the RICS.
About my role:
I joined Cook Brown Building Control in September 2017. As a Principal Building Control Surveyor, I am involved in the day-to-day management of our Bristol Office as well as helping with development and training of junior members of staff. I also am involved with project management, which includes Plan Checking and Site Inspections, of a wide variety of schemes ranging from small Domestic Extensions through to Flats, Offices and large Commercial developments.
