Director of Specialist Projects and Consultancy Services, MRICS
My work background:
Having started my career in Building Control with a Local Authority for twelve years, I moved into the private sector and joined an Approved Inspector in 2003 so that I could work on a greater variety and larger scale of Building projects. Having joined Cook Brown Building Control in 2016, I have enjoyed working on a wide variety of projects and seeing the company grow. I was particularly pleased to be appointed by Kier Construction as Building Control Approved Inspector on the Bristol Nightingale Hospital project at the University of the West of England.
About my role:
In addition to managing a number of the larger Commercial and Residential projects for the company, my role as Director of Specialist Projects and Consultancy Services includes training and mentoring of Surveyors, monitoring of technical consistency and the monitoring of documents and communications produced by Cook Brown Building Control in order to maintain our high standards of technical expertise.
Having completed several half-marathons in my younger days, the Covid-19 lockdown has encouraged me to get my running shoes on again. I will be starting this tomorrow for sure!
