Regional Surveying Manager, MRICS
My work background:
I am a fully qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. I have been in the industry for over twenty years having progressed since graduating from University as a Trainee through to becoming a Senior Building Control Surveyor with a Local Authority.
I have been an Approved Inspector for almost seven years and I have gained wide and varied technical knowledge and experience, encompassing the supervision of a range of projects varying in size from large Office and Retail developments, Industrial Sites, Flats/Housing schemes, bespoke Dwellings, Hotels, Universities/Colleges and Student Accommodation.
About my role:
I am the Regional Surveying Manager for the Bristol region of Cook Brown Building Control. This region spans from the far West of the country through to the South Coast and to Reading in the East.
My role is to continually develop and review the services that we provide in accordance with the company’s vision and values, quality policy, standard operating procedures and CICAIR codes of practice. I also have responsibility for managing a diverse Domestic and Commercial portfolio including very large-scale complex projects. This includes review of design stage proposals as well as carrying out inspections of highly technical items of construction on site and providing detailed and diligent site records.
I used to be always surfing at beaches in North Devon and Cornwall. I am now outdoors at the weekends watching my children playing sports or walking the dog. The surfboards still get to see the water occasionally!
