Following a successful working relationship on previous projects, we have been appointed by Black Cat Consultancy to provide Approved Inspector services on the refurbishment of a high-profile office building in Bath City Centre, adjacent to the iconic Bath Spa Station.

The building, which is named ‘Royal Mead’, was originally built circa 1990 and comprises a floor space of around 25,000 sq ft. Works include a full remodel of the existing building and will benefit from a new glazed reception, new lifts, basement car parking, new shower and locker facilities and extensive cycle storage. The four-million-pound renovation will ensure the accommodation has a contemporary feel with cleverly designed natural and LED lighting and four roof terraces. All works are due to be completed by April 2022 and will provide high quality, amenity rich accommodation that aims to draw businesses to return to the office.

“I have worked on many different types of schemes in Bath over the last two decades, which has given me a great understanding of the buildings in this great city. As well as office and retail projects, I have enjoyed various new build schemes that present a different set of challenges to working on existing buildings. It’s always great to be invited back to work with a project team to help deliver exciting schemes.”
