We successfully provide Building Control services on a diverse range of projects throughout England and Wales, and this renovation of a former County Court in Halifax, West Yorkshire, is a welcomed addition to our Northern Residential portfolio.
Highstone Housing Association have acquired and commissioned the conversion of Halifax County Court into fourteen independent living apartments for adults with learning disabilities, working in partnership with Calderdale Council and Homes England. In addition to converting the existing 19th-Century court building, Highstone will add a new mezzanine floor into the former court room to create apartments and a sleep room for support workers.
We are acting as Approved Inspector for our long-standing client Highstone, providing Building Control services throughout to ensure that the transformation complies with Building Regulations.
“For this project so far, I have provided Plan Checks to ensure that the development will be in line with achieving Compliance with Building Regulations. Currently, I am conducting on-site visits to ensure that the Build is undertaken in accordance with Design Plans and Specifications.”
