Domestic Terms and Conditions
These Domestic Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which our Building Control services are provided. They cover important details about fees, invoicing, cancellations, and your rights as a consumer. Please read them carefully to understand how fees are charged, the payment schedule, and cancellation policies. Fees of £1,000 + VAT and under will be invoiced in full upon submission of our initial notice.
Fees over £1,000 + VAT will be split and invoice as below:-
- 50% of the Building Control Application Fee upon submission of our Initial Notice;
- the remaining 50% of the Building Control Application Fee when Works commence on site
We shall invoice monthly in arrears in respect of any Variation. Please refer to our Terms of Appointment attached at Appendix 1 for further information. Please note, there will be no rebate of the Fee should the Project not proceed or complete.
Cancellation
As a “consumer” you have the right to cancel our appointment for any reason by sending us a notice of cancellation in a form such as the attached within 14 days of the date the Project Appointment Form is signed by you. You agree that if we have been/are instructed to perform services at any time before the 14 day period expires and this is confirmed in writing, we will be entitled to any fees and expenses properly due before we receive the notice of cancellation. Please be advised that £125 + VAT cancellation fee will be applied to projects cancelled after submission of our Initial Notice, if a Plan Check has been carried out and you wish to cancel your application additional charges will be applied.
