Cook Brown Building Control played a pivotal role in the success of Crown Place Student Accommodation by delivering expert building control services. Located in Nottingham, Crown Place is a modern, purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development offering 426 high-quality student beds in an optimised and efficient design.

The project began with a 356-bedspace envelope, which was innovatively reimagined to accommodate an additional 70 bedspaces without altering the building’s original structure. The final layout features a mix of 230 studios, 38 beds in cluster flats, and 158 beds in duplex cluster flats, providing a variety of living options for students.

Enhancing the student experience, the building includes 590 sqm of thoughtfully designed social and recreational spaces. These spaces include a main student lounge, cinema room, karaoke room, gym, video games room, table tennis room, and a bookable private dining room. Additional amenities, such as a café, several study rooms, comfortable lounges, and expansive outdoor recreational areas, ensure students can enjoy a balanced and vibrant lifestyle.
