Bocabar, Bristol

This project involved the fit out and refurbishment of the ground floor of an existing historic building to create a new home for Bocabar, a well known Bristol bar and restaurant. The scheme formed part of the wider Finzels Reach redevelopment, an established mixed use regeneration area in the heart of Bristol city centre.

The works included the adaptation of the existing Fermentation Building, a structure with significant industrial heritage, requiring careful consideration of the existing fabric while accommodating the new use. The fit out delivered a contemporary hospitality space within a retained historic setting, combining exposed original features with new internal finishes and services installations.

Our involvement provided Building Control services throughout the project, working alongside the design team and contractors to support compliance across the refurbishment works. Regular site inspections and ongoing plan assessment input were provided to assist the delivery of the scheme from initial works through to completion.
